      Job Title:   Quality and System Field Manager

      • Job Description - SUMMARY OF POSITION:

        • Thisposition will be an assistant to CTI’s Director of Quality Assurance and SystemContinuous Improvement (CI) manager   ,

        • MillAudit, Quality Assurance:

      1. Travel to Mills and review allprocesses producing and quality/safety control, find problems for improving andadd into Quality/Safety CAR tracking form, review Quality/Safety CAR trackingform(Including all complaints from USA and all findings by CTI team) on plantone by one, review unimproved points then help solving and review improvedpoints, if found improved point returned back then change to red color andpushing improving again, review safety issues for improving according to CTIsafety program and check list.

      2. Inspectors will send all processesdimension “First Article and Daily Inspection Record” (Fill by Milloperator/QC)to QF manager, he will Review and train Mills Operator/QC and CTIinspectors executing and correctly filling the “First Article and DailyInspection Record”  according to CTIdrawings and standards for all dimension processes.

      3. UMA and Critical order inspection.

      4. Review all Mills/inspector’s lab testfacilities/processes/results, push executing and training.

      5. Review raw material grade and recoveryat Mills, find problem and give training.

      6. Fill MC% audit form on process of rawmaterial/Finger Joint/Moulder/Coating/Packing at Mills for data analysis andrecord.

      7. Monitor CTI inspector SPC inputstatus and help solving problems on plants and SPC system improvement.

        • TFEReview: Assistant Technical Factory Evaluation.

        • Implementationof Continuous Improvement (CI) programs, , The new CI programs are expected toutilize proven methods such as Lean-Manufacturing, Statistical Process Control(SPC), Problem Solving and Corrective Action, while championing a culture-shift ofSafety-Quality-Delivery-Cost-Inventory (SQDCI) to improve quality, service, andprofitability.

        • Providehelping on the translations and paper work related- both oral and written.

        • TheManager will serve an integral role in oversight of the current Standard Workprogram of our Quality Assurance team. He needs work with CTI field people, and work directly with Mills toimprove quality.

           

      • KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

        • Thisposition will be the key conduit between the company’s Quality Assurance and ContinuousImprovement Management team and the mills.

        • Assistthe leadership team in driving cultural change that ensures each employeepossesses a continuous improvement attitude

        • Activeparticipation on conference calls, shop floor meetings, and presentations tosenior leadership – for both Chinese and English team members.

        • Responsiblefor the efficient coordination of Travel and Event logistics among severalmanufacturing plants

          • There will be Travel up to 30% - 50%time with very good accommodations

        • Monitor,maintain and follow-up on key measurements tracking for program sustainability

        • Responsiblefor motivating, coaching, and developing Chinese manufacturing workers

        • Adhereto safety policies and procedures related to all facets of job.

        • Mustbe “Hands-on” in plant locations, promoting a high energy, data driven, andresults oriented culture.

           

      • EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

        • Aminimum of 5 years of Quality Assurance managerial experience.  (Experience in Wood Products Industry wouldbe a benefit to the position)   

        • Aminimum of 3 years’ manufacturing experience related to Continuous Improvementor Lean Manufacturing.  

        • Strongbackground in problem solving, planning, and organization

        • Provenexperience as an extroverted leader, a self-starter and you must be highlymotivated.

           

           

      • EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATION/FORMALTRAINING:

        • CollegeDegree.  Preferred Bachelor of ScienceDegree in Engineering ( Mechanical or Industrial)

        • Englishas a second language certificate or equivalent.

        • Certificationin Lean-Manufacturing or Lean-Six Sigma would be a benefit to the position.

           

           

      • ESSENTIAL  ABILITIES:

        • Abilityto effectively communicate English in a fast-pace work environment.  

          • Read, write and understand theEnglish language

          • Excellent (bilingual) capabilities inEnglish (written and oral).

        • Abilityto read, analyze, and interpret technical drawings (including CAD)

        • Senseof urgency and self-motivation; ability to work independently.

        • Abilityto motivate employees to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

        • Computerliteracy with ability to learn new computer software programs.

          • Intermediate to Advanced capabilitiesin MS Office Applications

        • Abilityto make presentations to Senior Management.

        • Attentionto detail with strong organizational skills.

        • Strongleadership, analytical, problem solving skills.

        • Excellentcustomer service skills.

        • Mustbe results oriented with an affinity to people development; proactive inattacking challenges and confident in setting and achieving stretch goals.

           

      • WORK ENVIRONMENT:

        • Workis performed in both office and manufacturing plant floor environment.

        • Extensivetravel required (30% - 50%) to all 10-12 CTI facilities on a regularbasis. 

          • There may be some travel over theweekends.

          • There will be compensatory days forweekend work.
